Dear Guy,

Nice to hear about you! I and my friends found your guesthouse really good, clean and well mantained.

It is not just on the beach, but that was not a problem.We got breakfast at Dhow Inn hotel, and they let us use sunbeds and umbrellas.,,Rachid is a wonderful person, careful but never invading. He helped us with the car and called immediately a doctor for my friends’baby who had some fever. I only have to thank all of you for our beautiful stay, and to dream about Paje.

I have been arrived in Austria well. I had a good trip back home, all was ok and now I am back to work. The winter is gone and we have a warm springtime weather with a lot of sun. All my friends want to know how the stay was in Zansibar and I always tell them that we was on a wonderful house with the best houseman of the world . Greetings fr the security boys too. Huge and well-maintained rooms in a lovely little compound just a few minutes away from Paje’s pristine beach. Have stayed a couple of times and think it’s great value!

We stayed with a small group at the guesthouse over the christmas holidays and really had a fabulous time there. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Rashid honors his nick name Mr. Friendly as he is always there to help you out with whatever you need. The location is perfect as well, as it is at walking distance to the beach but just out of reach of the music from the bars so you ll have peaceful nights there.

Simply just great value for the money you pay.

Would definitely go there again and therefor can highly recommend it.

Simple, comfortable and the sweetest care taker; we had a lovely time staying at Paje Beach Guest House. Its a few minutes walk away from the beach, making it a peaceful and quiet retreat (not unimportant with loud noisy beachbars going all night). Its modest size and local management gives you the feeling you are staying in a local house, but with better amenities like water pressure, fans and great beds!

My stay in Paje is simply amazing, I tell you. Your guesthouse…amazing, when you told me to book the basic room I understood a simple, small, dark room but when I entered for first time I saw that is a PALACE. Wow, I am so thankful for that room, it’s like I stay in my home. MANY THANKS.

I love Rashid. He explains me everything, he prepares me the breakfast every morning, he takes care of me like a son. And all this and more with a funny SMILE. Love him. The beach is the most wonderful I’ve ever seen. I have no words to describe all this beautiful place. The local people are also lovely. No problems, no worries, the children in the street with “jambos” everywhere is quite good to make you smile. The people I meet are also good. Here in the guesthouse I have met some funny and good english people. They are very nice. Yesterday we had dinner togheter. Also I met Connie, at the shop of kitecentre zanzibar. The second day my 10 meter kite was broken in a fall down and she helped me and brought my kite to fix it very quickly. Also I meet everyday new people, foreigners and locals, like the owners of jambo bar, very funny all them.

The food is quite nice, in Dhow Inn they cook very well and the others also. I go also for snacks and water in the local shops on the main road and they are quite well. Better than home, for sure. So, in few words, this place and everything is simply amazing. I can’t miss in anything. Thank you very much

I stayed at Paje Beach Guesthouse for a few days last august and loved it! Having looked around a little during my stay I think it’s the best value for money accommodation available at Paje and I would definitely go back to this place if I (insha’Allah) can make my way back to Zanzibar one day! The rooms are brandnew, super clean and spacious and the manager Rashid is (besides adorable) very helpfull. The guesthouse is not right on the beach but the beach is only a few minutes away by foot and the sea is still visible from my favourite place of the guesthouse: the roof terrace! Don’t expect too much from breakfast but there are many nice places close to the guesthouse where you can eat. I would like to recomment this place to everyone going to zanzibar.

Without a doubt my stay at Paje Guesthouse was a memorable and fantastic experience. The newly built rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated with local art. All have good fans (cleverly and safely installed inside the mosquitonet) and clean private washrooms. The guesthouse is built like a traditional compound, it is surrounded by a wall and feels very safe with a friendly security guard available 24hrs. With the lovely house master Rashid as our personal guide we got a taste of the authentic Zanzibar. Every morning he prepared us a lovely breakfast with fresh fruit and helped us to swiftly get our tours and activities going by phoning reliable friends or e.g. trusted local scuba diving companies. My most memorable experience is our visit to a nearby roadside BBQ, where Rashid took us one night to meet and have dinner with dozens of Paje residents. Lit by nothing more than 1 LED light over the grill and an open fire (on which to cook the french fries) this dark place hardly attracts any tourists. However, as it turned out it is very popular with the local people and provided us with lovely food and drinks, many new friends, and a glimpse inside the real Zanzibar life. Asante sana!
